Watch out on Sundays

A co worker of mine headed into Nass across from the soccer fields just after sunrise last Sunday and got a hell of a scare. He was about 100' from the road when a buck ran across the trail just ahead of him.The deer was followed by 2 rifle shots that passed just a few feet from the guy.This guy is a hunter and was dressed in high vis green . He ran like hell back to the road. Seems we are not safe on Sundays even wearing bright clothes.

I really hope he called the DEP on this fuckin moron. It's bad enough we have idiots like this hunting on a daily basis, but to go out on a Sunday is ridiculous.

The guy that ran back to the road; was it your buddy or the hunter trying to flee? That's really messed up, because that's the one day of the week I feel semi-safe in the woods.

There are a lot of houses that border those trails, probably some locals that hiked out from their backyard thinking that nobody would be out there. I am just starting to realize that I have been giving hunters way too much credit.
