With that being said, the purpose of Crankfire.com is NOT to make money. However, running a website is not free and the bills at Crankfire.com are paid out of my pocket.
So here is my promise, any money made here will be used first to pay the bills, and any other revenues earned will be used for the betterment of the biking community - giveaways, hosting events, sponsoring events, charitable donations, really whatever I see fit apart from lining my own pockets.

Crankfire.com is (mostly) a geographically and userbase specific website - most of our traffic comes from the New England area, and of course, our traffic is mainly cyclists / sports enthusiasts.

Purchasing Advertising from Crankfire.com
To keep the site effective and unannoying, we only offer the standard 486 x 60 banner at the top of the site as advertising space. Ads that are considered intrusive (popups, talking, etc..) will not be accepted.
You will also be able to track your ad campaign and generate reports through our phpAds management console. We will provide you with a username and password upon campaign activiation.

Buy a Forum "Sticky" Advertisement
Most of the activity on this site occurs with our discussion forums, so what better place to put your message? For $10/month, we will sticky your advertisement or message in whatever forum you want.
A few notes:
a) Content must be appropriate and approved by Crankfire.com.
b) To keep things clean and happy, a maximum of 2 stickied ads are allowed at any given time.
c) If you are a non-profit and/or have a good cause to promote, drop us a line, we would be more than
happy to sticky something free of charge for you.
