Merchandising: Socks and Pint Glasses

Preface

There are 3 reasons for what is about to happen here: hugo03 quoted it last night, it is one of the greatest movies ever made, and I happen to have screen captures from it. Not to mention several key sound bites, and rereading what I just did - some sort of chemical imbalance.

Quick Summary in case you wanted to skip my ramblings

We are selling Crankfire branded socks (from Sockguy) and Crankfire etched pint glasses. Proceeds will go to the Crankfire Racing Team. Otherwise....

Utah! Get me two!

Yeah, that's right, we have some new Crankfire merchandise up for sale. Two of them.

I'm so hungry I could eat the ass end out of a dead rhino, I should have had you get me three of these things!

Bodhi is to the 50 Year Wave as Crankfire Racing is to the 2007 Race Year

So one night last month I get a phone call from a very excited Duffy - something about the coolest thing ever. I calm him down a little and it turns out he is about to pull the trigger on 140 pairs of Crankfire branded socks. From what I gathered (besides that he may have some sort of foot fetish) is that the plan is to raise some money for good ole Crankfire and to help cover some costs for the Crankfire Racing Team. I like it. A few days later I also learn pint glasses are also on the way. Hell yeah. I like beer.

Sooo..... lucky for him, costs for this site are looking to be covered for the year, so I am hereby proclaiming that all proceeds here will be going right into Crankfire Racing. Ya know, race fees, travel costs, jerseys, EPO, etc.. And he can't change this fact because it is written here and has no idea how to change this text.

Little hand says it's time to rock and roll.

Here we go / the goods: Crankfire socks from SockGuy, and badass etched Pint Glasses.

Time to dance with the universe.

Remember this scene? Very powerful. Utah wanted to bring him in... but spiritually he understood this was something Bodhi had to do. C'mon, really, does anyone here think Bohdi could handle a jail cell? I think not. Utah had to let him go, he now understood that his purpose was to show those guys that are inching their way on the freeways in their metal coffins that the human sprit is still alive. He may not have agreed with Bohdi and the ex-presidents breaking the law, but this universal truth, unlocked through getting radical, rang true deep within him, he had no choice but to let Bohdi fulfill his destiny.

If you are wondering how this relates to you buying some Crankfire merchandise and supporting a good cause, well, I suggest you watch Point Break a few more times until it become clear.

How to get some.

The best bet would be to show up for a ride with either Dufman or I and we can do an exchange right there. Pint glasses are $7.50 each, and a discounted 4 for $28.00. Socks are $9.00 a pair and come in small and large sizes. If you require a different arrangement, just drop dufman a line and I am sure something can be worked out.

Vaya con Dios, Brah.

Okay. I get it. This is where you tell me that "locals rule", and that Yuppie insects like me shouldn't be surfing the break, right?

No. That would be a waste of time. We're just going to sell you socks.

On behalf of the CRANKFIRE Racing Team, Thank you!! That wasn't the arrangement we spoke of prior, but... hopefully we're bringing something back to you. We're trying. Thanks for the support over the past 3 years.
